... actually that many cannons, or...?

Because from what I remember of that tech demo thing they released a while back, if they'd upped the block limits since that... could be an accurate count.

I have a huge ship that is basically just built around shitting out five hundred million tiny 150R gunships. At one point I had 200 of them, with about 10k R between them.
If they get too far away they unload, though, so it's hard to keep over about 180. The only thing they can't beat is those neon green plant sectors.
At the same time, my ship has six shields and four AM cannons, in addition to a number of other guns. So I have quite some dakka myself

Only issue is that the game freezes for like five minutes if I accidentally press spacebar when I'm not hovering over an enemy.

I just got that game last night.

I've designed a ship with exactly 50 missile launchers. Since they're the kind that can track targets but low damage, few ships (at my skill-level/size) can get close but those that can destroy it very quickly.
