Mobile Firefox can't keep tabs loaded properly and resets them to an earlier page on that tab when they're open too long and rapidly unloads tabs, yet it still impacts VLCs performance b a very noticeable amount when it's open in the background. I hate mobile browsers.

Have you tried Opera, yet? At least on the kindle, I've been finding it surprisingly painless. Most irritating bit so far is that flash videos auto-fullscreen and don't respect the rotation lock. I haven't really been paying attention to performance and whatnot, though.

Opera is also smooth on iOS devices.

I've gone >15 before, but it was slow loading as it tends to refresh unchecked tabs. This wason an iPhone, though.
