This morning my alarm woke me up hours before usual because I needed to go do a thing.
Having barely slept the previous night, I decided an appropriate response was to unpause this:
https://youtu.be/2spgzyoKRGo?&t=103 (dark, fever-dream like RPG. Even worse because I've seen the whole thing, the end is not nice)
I then fell back to sleep watching it. I "woke up" except now I was watching something else that was all red and staticy, and there were people staring at me through the window. Which was kinda like a recurring nightmare I used to have (except it was one person, in the room, with my face. Screaming static if I took too long to wake up) (*years* before Slenderman was invented, but I can't play that game). But here I wasn't scared at all, I just realized I was asleep. After making my fingers fing, and bifurcate, and floating a little, I woke up.
Except, dangit, I was paralyzed and another wrong thing was still playing. I remember being super annoyed that I had to wake up from such a lucid dream. But I woke up.
Shit, it was 11 instead of 8, I was super late. Wait, how did I check the time without touching the computer? Oh, dammit. I woke up.
Okay, I was moving. The video was still playing, I paused it. 7:50, amazingly little time for what had just happened. I remembered the dreams so vividly, I saw them when I blinked - Oh dammit, 8:10.
The real WTF was that I managed to defeat these amazing sleep hallucinations and actually get to the thing at a reasonable time. Not to mention remembering the dreams over 12 hours later.
