To hate something is to care about it.  Add in the followers one gets by being hyperbolic, and you have a recipe for a hypercritical "review" piece with both incentive and passion.

Also I haven't seen *that* one, but a while ago I followed "xkcdsucks".  Often it was dumb and they just made up stuff to complain about.  Sometimes, it was pretty much right.  XKCD's great but not every XKCD.  True of pretty much every episodic work.  More importantly, "xkcdsucks" was insightful and amusing in its criticism - at least sometimes.  Not as good as XKCD but still.

That's fine, I don't see what's wrong with it. There's some issues with characterisation that I don't understand because I have not followed XKCD closely enough to care, but the guy clearly explains why he doesn't like each thing. And it's hardly blind hate either, the quality is variable and he admits it.

I still want to throttle this guy, though.

IRRC a lot of his complaints end up boiling down to "I don't understand why this is funny."

Also, just read the complaints on the first page.  Suggesting that the idea of not being in control of your body is unique to animorphs, or that a given webcomic writer on the internet has even read animorphs, is just silly.

Mum found this article about some dudes in Russia who caught a "mutant fish." To me it looks a lot like an ostracoderm or placoderm type fish. I can't find anything else about it, though.

Instead, she opts to shoot it at her own feet, instantly killing herself.

Clearly she needs to brush up on her rocket-jumping skills. Set her on a strict training regimen of Quake speedruns and TF2 rocket jumping maps once she respawns.
