Apparently some non-player is reading all of ER (Einsteinian roulette), all the missions, posts and on ship stuff. How does one do that?
Sometimes, some people, want to read large, largely contiguous, bits of writing. I've personally read through more than one work that's larger than War and Peace (which isn't even that big of a deal, really -- one of the major translations is only a bit under 590k words). Sometimes you just want to not finish reading something in a few days. Or a week or two. It's a different sort of experience from chewing through a novel(/written work in general) in a day or less.

Yeah, I mean the Harry Potter books must be several thousand pages combined, for example, so the length isn't a reason not to read it for even fairly slow and casual readers.

However, my eyes start to cross after too much (small amounts) of reading ER posts. It's the carefully cultivated and documented brand of madness that gets to me.

Besides, do you know what kind of work it'd be to move the whole darn thing over? That, alone, is deterrent enough!

True.

I asked piecewise way back if I could make a tabletop version of the game for beer & pretzels play.
I've run it about 5 times with 3 different groups (mostly single-mission plays) and it has been a massive hit.
This guy should package and sell.

Yeah, I mean the Harry Potter books must be several thousand pages combined, for example, so the length isn't a reason not to read it for even fairly slow and casual readers.
The entire HP series is a titch over a million words combined, yeah. Bit under twice the size of War & Peace.

There's individual harry potter fanfics bigger than that :V

But yeah, style and whatnot does have its influence. I can't read W&P nearly as fast as I can most similarly sized fanfics, or even several other classical texts (This is largely because war and peace bores me to goddamn tears.). Still, some people can breeze through that sort of thing without much trouble. More power to 'em, ha.
Besides, do you know what kind of work it'd be to move the whole darn thing over? That, alone, is deterrent enough!
Well, that, at least, wouldn't be much of an issue. It's apparently not too much trouble to scribble up a script (or use something that's already around and online) that auto-moves that sort of thing.

E: There's also probably something on toady's end that would make transferring the stuff to another forum pretty trivial. Backup feature or whatev'. The logistics of moving isn't really a substantial obstacle, is what I'm saying.

In SUB you're a well trained soldier of the German spy organisation, CIA.
You've found out that USA have started an operation called "dungeon-blazt",
this operation is about a bomb which could destroy your whole homecountry
Germany. So you must stop USA from succes of this operation!
Your mission will first be to get inside US.Submarine, a well guarded one.
Once you done that you must eliminate the whole crew and get the submarine
in control, to do this you must first make the machine "active" and after that
you have to find another "active switch" that will make the submarine move!
Now you can make the submarine move to US secret area in the pacific ocean.
As you made it to that area you will use your virus to the main computer in
the "Bomb-Room", that virus will make it impossible for USA to launch
the A-Bomb!
When that is done you can go to US Helicopter that will take you home!
If this will succed, USA will probably start a war and if that happens
you must kill USA's president!     GOOD LUCK! / Tony"DOOM"Soderlund
  ===========================================================================
!!! This mission can also be read inside Doom with the F1 command. !!!

-Why is it called "SUB": Because the mighty Submarine, the pride of SUB.WAD
-Why you are a GERMAN Soldier: You know, shit happens!

Special Thanks To: Erik Jonsson for the new sound effects and some ideas!
Daniel Kramer for his computer resources, the network!
Def Leppard for giving me the excellent music!!!

Just reading that you know you're in for something.... "Special"

And well... Yes. Certainly special...

Here we have an A-bomb, clearly american made. Seems legit...

I don't understand why the CIA is german. Or why I had to apparently shoot a bunch of them.

The sign isn't... Wrong

Bill has seen better days.

And us president bill clinton himself! ... Sorta. Not really.

Lets not go back to 1995. It's a silly place.

That's very clearly the German-CIA. You killed them because you're so far undercover that even you don't know you're really working for Germany.

I raise you Robert Jordan's 'Wheel of Time'.
15 books for a total of ~12,000 pages.
The audiobooks for the series total just over 9 days playtime.

@frumple: not just that, no. Moving over all the players, for starters! And getting/attracting new ones to replace the ones that drop, difficult on our own forum. Though having our own wiki certainly helps.

Just saw a new Taylor Swift song. My sister used to love her, so I know what she used to sing. Damn, that's a change.

General concept. The missions piecewise has run went completely differently based on the rolls, so I didn't want to steal them and then attempt to railroad the players.
I basically just nicked the wargear, the science and Steve.
