Yeah the thing that makes stories written by children and sometimes teens so great is sort of the naiveté and freeform creativity they bring to it... The total lack of self-awareness makes it interesting.

What made Christian Humber Reloaded so interesting to me was that it was made by a very disturbed child (in the sense that he was troubled... in a typical way) and what was written in the story reflects very strongly on the creator.,

What makes Axe Cop so interesting is the sort of childhood glee and child-isms it has. You can TOTALLY tell that most of Flute Cop's dialog is clearly the older authors add in, and it makes it extra hilarious. I love when he goes to Hawaii and all that with just 85 bucks, because it is a lot of money.

There is just something lost with "good writers" that just isn't there when people mature.

If five-year-old me had been collaborated with to write fiction the results would be terrifying.
Actually I'm pretty sure my sister did just that at several points... man, my sister was cool before she became uncool.

My earliest attempts at fiction were usually one-page zero-effort fan fics of the formula "Somebody in the Zelda universe dies, Link avenges them, maybe they get revived at the end because Link is just such a swell guy". I also dabbled in crossover romance fics which included Zelda, Adventure Quest, Sin and Punishment, Metroid, real-life rock band Franz Ferdinand, and myself-as-Link. Sadly, everything was lost over numerous years of hard drive erasures.

I had zero creativity and zero fucks to give back then. Nowadays I'm the opposite, where I hate everything I write and just stare frustrated at a blank document until I give up.
