I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I actually have social skills now: I just politely deflected a friend from making a phone call that would have significantly inconvenienced me, and he didn't seem offended. Why can't the press operators do shit in the order they are supposed to?

A job due out today was supposed to have been the first thing printed this morning. It was only just put on at the ass-end of the day, and did not go out.

It also feels like our customer service department is trying to suffocate us with work. They got told off by the floor manager for trying to start more jobs than we have time in the week to finish printing, let alone cut, package, and ship them all.

Also, explicitly pornographic temporary tattoos. Supposedly they are going to be handed out during Pride Week.

Jeez, I didn't quite realize how much more stark bold is in default view compared to darkling. Yet another comparative virtue of soothing darkling ;_;

I switched to Darkling too, about a year ago.  It really is soothing by comparison.
I should probably look into using a black background on Notepad+...  As is, I tempered the pure white background into a slight lavender, which helps more than one would expect.  Though I keep the actual brightness on the work computer as low as I can, which helps more.

I switched to Darkling off of Default right after  I joined, because my forum experience started with lurking in the DF discussion without an account, which has Darkling on by default and it just didn't feel like the DF forum without Darkling.

It's easier on the eyes, too. Sure, it makes regular blue hard on the eyes, but it also doesn't rape my eyes when I use it in the middle of the night.

Mm... I think there's actually a picture of it some few years back, but my default reading coloration is a dark blue background with grey text. S'about as soothing I've managed to find, personally, though darkling's a close runner-up. Between that, zooming in, and f.lux, reading on the computer is considerably less straining than it was years back, heh.

Really isn't.  I still can't get used to it for code - and that's despite learning programming on dark-background linux terminals through high school.  I used light-background in college and now can't switch back.  Despite the eye strain.  It's weird.

I actually changed my black and white hexchat theme to dark brown and light grey, it looks pretty soothing.
I don't know why, but the default theme is the only super bright thing that really bugs me. I'm ok with white notepad++, but I just can't stand the default theme.

So as I was getting set up to get ready for bed, I remembered that apparently, one of my housemates (In further conversation on this board refered to as Vicky, nickname of hers) felt bad about the day I had when she first heard about it and decided to send me stuff on steam.

First gift I see makes a lot of sense, Hyperdimension neptinua sequel. I haven't got around to the first one yet but I'm really meaning to since it looks and sounds awesome (and cute!) so I guess getting the sequel early even makes sense.

Second thing... Dishonored? I vaugely remmebered hearing a bit about it before but not a lot, but when I look deeper into it things make more sense. Stealth? Very yes, stabbing people? Extra yes. Intresting weird steampunk victorian theme? Very very much yes. How did I not know this much about this game before? It looks great.

Now the third thing she gave me is where I get WTFy. Third thing she gave me? Witcher enhanced edition. Now this isn't because I think The witcher is weird or odd or strange or bad or whatever... In fact this is because quite the opposite. After a former very close friend (Not THAT one guys, the other one. Oldbies know what I mean) started talking with me and mentioned he quite liked the series I took the chance to look into it and decided... It looks very intresting actually. Very intresting eastern europe thematics to things, cool or intresting ideas with the main character and mechanics, lots of detail in the world and stuff...

But that's not the WTF part. The WTF part is that Olga was really the only one that knew I was interested in those at all. Yet... Vicky said she knew I wanted to try the series.
