So apparently it's perfectly legal for pet store employees to tell you that goldfish will be able to live perfectly fine in a 5 gallon desk tank. One of the goldfish is now dead.(I''m more pissed at myself for actually believing them) Hopefully the second goldfish will live until Friday, when a (hastily ordered) 20 gallon tank will arrive. Hopefully.

Edit. Internet says its either a Bubbler or an aquarium air pump.

Edit2. Air pumps aren't really necessary and the whole oxygenating water is a myth, it only improves circulation. So your problem is possibly a temperature thing.

I have got the strongest craving for fish right now.
Fortunately I have a couple pounds of frozen tilapia I haven't touched in about a month.  Oddly though, the packages apparently contain carbon monoxide "To promote color retention".  I did not know that was a thing.
Anyway time for drunk cooking with onions, rice, fish and chili powder.  Only the strongest flavors reach the numbed taste buds.
Oh hell I'll throw some of this spinach in, it doesn't seem bad quite yet.
