I've heard Higurashi is a fun romp.

Anyone has any suggestions for a decent show?  I don't mind 'weird' and alternative (maybe), but I am a fan of more serious ones with imperfect heroes.

I feel weird trying to listen to all the British accents I can to try and practice for my LARP character who has a British accent.

Which kind of British accent?

The "proper" kind. The kind you hear on BBC News. She's a child of rich parents, so it probably makes sense. I dunno, I just did what I barely knew how to.

Is she the child of rich American parents? Especially east-coast ones?
Then you could do an intentionally spotty one as to show that she's putting it on like a lot of rich Americans.
Edit: Wait, didn't see the post saying she's actually British. D'oh well, let my advice sit.

EDIT: I don't even like BBT but I absolutely don't understand why internet people think it's some huge affront to their dignity.

First of all, that's not what blackface is.

Secondly, they all have mental illnesses (except Lenard) which are used as a punchline, the show is in love with the "you can't be pretty AND smart" idea (especially for the female characters but it applies to everyone), and they're all massive stereotypes.

According to the show's creators, the ONLY examples of mental illness in the show is the social anxiety disorder Raj and one of his girlfriends experience. The rest are just supposed to be socially out-of-touch. As for the girls, I don't know what you're talking about with "you can't be smart and attractive", every female character except Amy gets tons of in-universe praise for their physical attractiveness, and I don't recall any of them being referred to as ugly.

The thing is, I was flipping through radio channels the other day and I ended up listening to a whole interview about musical theater that I don't even care about solely because the person being interviewed had a the exact kind of accent I was trying for. The only reason I'm even doing the accent is because I forget to do the sign for OOC all the time so I wanted IC dialogue to be distinguishable from OOC. My other character is easy, because she can't speak above a whisper.

Sheldon definitely has, at minimum, obsessive-compulsive disorder and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.
