I once had problems figuring out why a program wasn't launching, without giving any error messages. Turned out the disk was so full that the game literally couldn't start. I only figured that out after re-installing the program.

I ran into something like that once on one of the Bureau's computers. Disk was out of space. Cleaned up all the temp files, cache, etc. And got about 40 MB or so freed up.

But then as I started checking the HDD properties again, it started disappearing. 39MB, 38MB, 37MB, etc. until it was out of space again.

Tracked it down to one of the intelligence programs creating log files once a minute. Individually, not that large. Over time, it had eaten up 120GB and counting. Took some serious finagling to figure out what was wrong in the configuration to cause it to do that.

Nice.  I use an old free version of Spacemonger to find disk space hogs, but there are other disk space visualization utilities out there which work just as well.

I work alongside someone who is deaf. It is difficult at times, as there is a bit of a communication barrier.

Temps aren't always warned that she is deaf. But today was a weird one.

Tried to call her name, and when that didn't work, tried making the same sort of noises you would make to catch the attention of a dog or cat. I'm not quite sure how to describe it. Like a sort of ch'ck or t'ck noise.
