Say Albus has acquired Mermin's Magical Cabinet, which has nine drawers arranged in a 3×3 grid. Only up to three drawers may be opened before closing them all again and resetting the cabinet, specifically any row or any column. However, there's an additional enchantment on it: if loaded with a pair of socks, the cabinet redistributes them into random drawers, and resetting the cabinet makes all socks within vanish. Rather than throw out such a wardrobe annoyance, Albus notices a curious pattern when the cabinet is loaded with a pair of socks:
0. There's never more than one sock in a drawer.
1. If he opens any column, he will always find exactly one sock. No column is special.
2. If he opens any row, he may either find no socks (1/2 of the time) or two socks (1/2 of the time). No row is special.
Many socks have been vanished to bring Albus this information. (P.S. Thanks to Yitzi for pointing out my flub with the classical equiprobability case.)

Being a highly competent wizard, Albus is sure that the cabinet does not re-arrange the socks while he's opening the drawers. No, he's made sure that whatever magic the cabinet is doing in re-arranging the socks, it's entirely when it's first loaded. Since Albus has an interest in prophecies, he suspects that the cabinet can somehow perfectly predict which drawers will be opened and arranges the socks so as to play this prank.

Now, if Albus were familiar with quantum probability, he might consider another possibility: the cabinet distributes a pair of socks randomly, without any divinations, so that each of the nine configurations with exactly two socks on a single row and all other draws empty are all equiprobable with probability 1/6, and all other configurations have probability 0, except the configuration of all drawers being empty has probability -1/2.

The total probability is of course unity, as 9(1/6) + (-1/2) = 1, as it should be. Since all drawers being empty is never a possible observation after sock-pair-loading, its negative probability is fine too.

Sooo... after watching enough stuff about Cyberbullying.

I have the sneaking suspicion that most people don't even know what Cyberbullying... Is...

Which, what the heck... why is it such a hard concept to get across?

But I think it is possibly because cyberbullying isn't as "glamorous" as they want. Since for the most part outside some big cases it is really more hurting people who are already psychologically vulnerable... rather then taking healthy people and making them unhealthy.

Personally, I draw a distinction between ordinary, casual trolling, and dedicated cyberbullying.

Cyberbullying is what you get when you have a troll that is also known to the bullied person, who bully's relentlessly.
A casual troll sweeps in, makes a scene, then leaves.

I can appreciate a good troll.

I cant appreciate a cyber bully.

Back in highschool, we had a police officer come in to talk to students about online safety. In grade 12. The officer knew what he was talking about. The school official didn't. We were given sheets with terms and definitions on them.

Sexting is when you email pictures that you took of yourself in a mirror to someone. Phishing was sending nude pictures to others. They spelled it 'fishing'.

Cyber bullying wasn't a thing. It didn't occur on school grounds, so it wasn't the school's problem.

My school's cinematography class actually got to make a safety video on sexting though, which was kind of neat. Not sure if it was ever actually used for education purposes though.
