I mean sure, it's a little silly. But his first reaction was that I was joking, and his second reaction was that they were "lunacy" for some ill-defined reason.
You are joking, right?
About what?
-snip-
Was he referring to the pencils or Wikipedia's policies? The latter really are lunacy in application if not purpose.
The pencils, not the policies.

Oh, the plantable pencils? No, they have them. They also have them in [citation needed] format.

Jifodus has been online for roughly 50% of his time since registering, at around 167 days per year.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting at 118 days after about 6 years.

This only tells us who... refreshes their browser pages most frequently? Or otherwise wastes the most time on the internet.

Gimp is so fucking frustrating. I spent about an hour trying to do something that would have taken all of five minutes in photoshop, because for some reason they decided to make layering as unintuitive and finicky as they possibly could. You would think raising a portion of an image above the background and sliding something in between them would be a pretty easy job, but apparently that's too much to ask from the definitive open-source image manipulation tool.

I myself clock in at a respectable 38 days, 3 hours, and 6 minutes.
