The other politicians, standing on their own ego.

Or satellites or passing asteroids or something, whatever's available. They're inventive bastards when they're trying to make lives worse.

Also, an uncontrolled de-orbiting of a satellite will not result in KKV. It will result in pretty fireworks in the upper atmosphere.

Pfft. As if a politician could do enough work to de-orbit anything. (physics joke!)

All you'd have to do to make it work is strap one of the spare politicians to it. That'd make it dense enough to survive passing through the sun.

Wouldn't that make it vacuous enough to disappear?

If all it took was being vacuous to make a politician disappear, we'd have a lot less of them, IP.

Maybe if a politician is full enough of hot air, he can use that to maneuver by expelling the bullshit.

Their platform, of course!
And most politicians' platforms are unstable and massive, so despite basic physics, it would fall too after being pushed off of.

On the other hand, while there's enough experimental data on politicians being dense, I don't think they obey the laws of gravity ('s a law as any other, made to be broken) - otherwise they'd all accumulate in the centre of the planet.

Hmmm. This could be an interesting problem for SAT tests.
'A politician consisting of 30% standard republican density, 45% democratic vacuousness, and 35% hot air is standing on a political platform in low orbit around Earth. The politician is 13% law of gravity compliant. Assume an experienced politician (no friction).
A) How much overview effect is needed to keep the politician away from the rest of the humanity?
B) Assume the politician does the standard 4-year tenure quotient of work while in orbit. Can he de-orbit before the next elections?
C) How much actual work would it take to send him to Mars?'

Forget nuclear pulse propulsion and the Alcubierre drive, I've just figured out how we can achieve interstellar near-light speed travel.

But that would result in massive pollution of interstellar space with bullshit. That's probably bad.

given the low atomic masses of the raw constituents of bullshit (predominantly hydrogen, carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen), the use of Rhetori-Drive propulsion by Kardeshev class II species would only serve to better sustain their cultures, as the resulting waste products would make excellent fuel for the stars they have captured.

Additionally, it solves a number of problems with cornuciopia technology in general, providing excellent raw material for processing for a wide assortment of domestic products.  Name brand politicians with reliable rhetorical content would be quite valuable.

(I now feel dumber for having written this. A pox on you all.)

*sees three large men, apparently construction workers, having a picnic in the back yard*

... alright then. I'll just, uh. Leave you folks to that, random people that walked off the street to have lunch.
