So I am watching a very mediocre show about football (soccer) and it is kind of weird

The normal animation is a VERY still and stilted 2d (characters NEVER emote properly) but the animation for the games is in 3d.

Now USUALLY when shows are in 3d it is because they want to lower costs and not to rely on stock footage... Yet this show... uses a LOT of stock footage. Not to mention the enemy teams are usually the same exact player cloned several times and when they want to differ them they usually just pallet swap them.

Galactik Football... Somehow lasted 3 seasons.

It is making want to go back to sports animes badly... Trust me I am sparing you the full brunt of my criticisms. It is just odd to see a 3d show that is basically 50% stock footage. Sailormoon had less stockfootage then this show.

The ONLY other thing that is weird about the show is that they treat Football like it is "THE" most important thing in the entire universe to the extent where even the IDEA of anything being more important then a game is unfathomable ("How DARE you save that freedom fighter's life! you know we had a game!")... I mean heaven forgive they have to play again next year... But that is typical for any sports or hobby show.

Yeah they REALLY try to pretend that they will never EVER get to play again... There is nothing actually stopping them from playing next year yet everyone treats it like "no that is unpossible!" in spite there being one every year.

-Edit: Nevermind I am downgrading it from Mediocre to bad... It is a bad show.

And Football (soccer for you) is the most popular sport in France, so it's not that surprising.

If you insist, you can look up the discussion in Facebook. It's the Malazan Empire group. I am uncomfortable with outright saying who I am, but I think it should be fairly obvious if you chance a look at it.

The series is good. The best fantasy I've read so far. Up there with Glen Cook's The Black Company, etc.

Out of curiosity, have you tried joining other fansites/groups/forums with threads for for the same series or author? A cursory search popped up a couple, and just about anything would be better than hanging about with what sound like redpill scumbags.

Depending on how this crisis resolves itself, I'll consider joining some other forum.
