Well I can write halfway decently in posts. Though I cannot always express myself it is usually because I don't try to state the most simplest thought that crosses my mind.

Yet that still doesn't aid me in story writing.

So I just had a debate on abortion on Reddit with some guy. Generally a stupid thing to do yes. So far I have gleamed that abortion is murder, I am a nazi for thinking otherwise, and that those are facts proven by science and philosophy.

My WTF is why I was having that particular conversation when I could have been playing AI War instead.

My mom keeps complaining that her computer is slow. I have cleaned out junk files, defragmented it, ran multiple file cleaners/virus scanners on it, limited as much as I can to limit process use, and even more.

Its problem is that it is a very old computer. It was bought when XP was still new, and was upgraded to vista at some point. And that it is not incredibly well maintained.

Its tower is kept in the desk's side cupboard, typically enclosed. Before that, it was left on the carpet. I cleaned the inside of it last year. I think I mentioned that on here, actually. So much dust, some of the internal fans couldn't move.

I've told her time and time again that she needs a new computer. She still complains almost every day that it is slow. Maybe I should clean out my old laptop and give her it. Though it is old and slow too.

I bought it on monday. So far have abandoned a decent number of games. I expect to abandon a lot more in the future.

I've told her time and time again that she needs a new computer. She still complains almost every day that it is slow. Maybe I should clean out my old laptop and give her it. Though it is old and slow too.

Step 1: Ensure she actually has money for a new computer.
Step 2: Back up everything on the computer
Step 3: Download a hidden drive crasher and set it to automatically run in a few days.
Step 4: Claim that you can't fix it but you did manage to get the last backup so none of the files are lost. However the only option at this point is to buy a new one.
Step 5: No more complaints
Step 6: Continue your evil plots to take over the world.

(Yes I know I'm a horrible person, but most people aren't willing to put in the effort to fix the things they are complaining about unless you force them to. )

You might be able to improve performance by replacing the thermal paste on the CPU. I've had a few "dying" computers that worked much better after I did that. Alternatively, just buy her a cheap prebuild for her birthday or Christmas *standard disclaimer about non-observance*.
