@Truean
That's both WTF and yet makes sense.  Sometimes people need a wake-up call.  Also, wow, amazing job on your part...  I'd offer sympathy for what you went through but I'd rather offer more respect on top of what I already had for you.

Anybody who has played Sengoku Rance is forever an expert at pushing past the fanservice.
I couldn't do it. I wouldn't be able to play for long without having to go do something else.

... Not like... a specific something else. As in I couldn't stand it and walked away.

Honestly, if rance's less licit bits had been higher quality, it might have turned me off from it. As it was, it was mediocre enough to be either ignorable or farcical. Bland porn, surprisingly decent game in a style of setting I'd love to see more of. More steampunk/fantasy/etc. romance of the three kingdoms style stuff would be great.

E: Plus some of the character design was kinda' amazing. That freaking feather duster :3

Where's Bay12?

Anyway, I just found out I am completely out of sync with the world, I thought it was Tuesday or Wednesday, turns out it's actually Friday.

...

How did I even get that far out of sync?

I would think bay12 is just a tiny little territory, my best guess would be a Luxembourg like place somewhere between Runescape and World of tanks.

Friend recommended a lawn guy to take care of the yard for my mom.  We told him that he's hired, and he said he'll leave an invoice on the front door after the first visit. We agreed to pay monthly.  First visit was supposed to be last wednesday.   He never showed, then he said he'd do it monday.  Still no show.  Then wednesday, then thursday...

Basically he's never showed. he hasn't been paid yet (because he was going to mow the lawn first) It's really starting to annoy me, I'm probably going to mow the lawn myself either later tonight or tomarrow morning and get someone else.  Why would somebody go through all the trouble to go out, give an estimate and work out days and times if they aren't actually going to DO it?  The guy claims he lives only a block away too.

After using Windows 8 for a while and being forced to learn how it works, I think I actually prefer the Win8 start menu to Win7.

On 7, the "Recently used" section would be cluttered full of crap that I only ever used once. The "All Programs" section would be wide enough to cover half the screen after just a year or two of regular use (I actually do use that many programs regularly enough to justify keeping them), making it a pain to find anything (the search feature often didn't work as advertised). Software from the same company would often create two or even more seperate folders. For example, I ended up with three folders for EA games: one for C&C Generals, one for the Godfather and one for the Harry Potter games, making organization even harder. There were broken links all over the place, even when I uninstalled a program from the Control Panel. Programs that I installed weeks ago would be permanently flagged as "newly installed", so every bit of the Start Menu was striped orange and white like bloody candy corn.

On Win8 (once you clear out all the bloatware and predefined stuff), the start menu is like a second desktop so that your actual desktop doesn't get too cluttered. Nothing gets added to it except stuff that I put there myself, and I can put it all into categories instead of having a million nested folders that I have to sort out. It's nice and big and visual, so I can use it without having to squint at the screen. If there's something I want to be on the Start Menu, I add it, and if I don't want it to be there then I can remove it and it will never bother me again. No more crap getting automatically added, no more broken links, no more buggy search feature or permanent "newly installed" programs. I haven't missed a single "feature" from the classic Start Menu, to be honest. I really don't see what the hate is all about, except that it might be a bit awkward to use with non-touch devices.

I don't even use the w8 start menu. It's cluttered with crap I don't care about.

The only programs I regularly use are Steam and Chrome anyways, and a bunch that auto launch on start.

That's all stuff you can remove, just like bloatware on any previous version of Windows. ???

Why would I improve something if I can just pretend it doesn't exist at all?

(but for real, I already have a desktop, no need for a second one)

The only rules I can find on what makes acceptable mounts in Pathfinder is that they must be at least one size category larger than the rider.

I don't quite understand how some creatures could support a rider. Like a large constrictor snake, for example.

Ridin' a snake would probably be a lot like riding a dragon, just with less reproductive innuendo. Maybe. Or perhaps more innuendo but less actual crossbreeds running around.

At the least, you'd probably be mounted just behind the head (or on it, depending on the size), which is fairly stable when a snake undulates about. Either that, or it'd take some special training so the critter keeps parts of it stable for the saddle-equivalent whatsit.

Snake's got pretty good land speed, though, and a lot of potential advantages as a mount. Not sure on the stamina, but still.

E: Alternately, enchanted saddle-equivalents of some sort. Something so you stay stuck on it instead of flapping about everywhere.
