They were pretty good at hiding. So good, that in fact no one has ever seen a lich mob. That's how good they were.

Why do we gloss over all the horrific tragedies we done in WW2 OTHER then the interment camps (such as the lich mobs)?

He probably meant lynch mobs. You know, like guys that were killing Jews that were returning after war to their homes, burning Jews in barns and other cute things like that. Note that it is significant, because Nazis didn't incited these atrocites, at least not directly.

is the correct snippet, while

int blocksToRemove = whole + remainder>0?1:0;

makes blocksToRemove always equal 1. I guess it's because whole + remainder > 0 is counted as the first arg for the ternary operator.

+ has higher precedence than >. And this is normal maths for all languages. It's interpreting it as:

(whole + remainder > 0) ? ... , which if you consider statements like (x + 1 > 3) ? ... is probably the right way to go.

if you want to talk arbitrary why isn't the ? only applied to the "0" as in:

int blocksToRemove = whole + remainder > (0 ? 1 : 0);

So if we go by the rule that the "?" only applies to the thing right before it, it should apply only to the zero, and ignore the >

Operator precedence is strictly enforced to prevent silly situations like this.

I'm just in the habit of bracketing everything based on my intentions so I rarely think about operator precedence. Just put brackets around every conditional block as if it was an if statement, and you never have issues.
