I think the DM may be planning to kill the party. Said he'd be surprised if any of us survive the next encounter.

I don't think I share his views on the game. He said that you don't build characters in a way that makes playing the game fun; you build characters so that they will always survive an encounter. He gets accused of min-maxing and meta-gaming a lot as a player, and his reply is usually along the lines of "but it keeps my character alive".

Ask him if he knows about "Character Optimizaton" thing. If yes, then run away from him.

I missed the 0923 bus downtown because I was buying salt.  :|

I was so close I saw the driver point to the bus stop sign and mouth something as the douche (we had talks) drove away with extra speed and then I jogged there instead, ony to miss that one by 15 seconds.  I was close enough to hit it with a rock.  An hour later, I finally caught it to be held up by a spanish grandmother cussing out a bus supervisor because her kid's bag is gone. :|

Sounds like he might like Paranoia, where the game expects you to die to the point where you actually make character "packs" every time you make a character in the sense that you get a number of duplicate clones to automatically step in when the original dies.

So this is my WTF for quite a while now:

I have a zippo lighter manufactured in late eighties/nineties. It is obviously of superior quality to those produced nowadays, and it seems like it was actually produced in US. But even though it has marks on the bottom which seem to point out location, I fail to read them. Any help on that?

So it was manufactured in Bradford, Pennsylvania.

I originally thought it was "RA", but no states use that as a shorthand acronym.
