I touched on it. The reason YYYYMMDD is best for computers is because it makes for easy collation when sorted in numerical order. It doesn't work well in everyday use because it's completely divorced from how people actually pronounce dates (and can be overly long).

Who needs instant noodles or instant rice meals when you can get instant curry?

Yeah, apparently that's a thing. I was looking in the international food section at the supermarket (it's right next to the instant noodles, which was what I was looking for) and I spot these microwaveable meals in the Indian section.
They were cheap so I bought a couple. I'll try 'em out tomorrow.
