The drainage for the dishwashing machine at work is starting to clog again. And right after telling my supervisor this, she proceeds to run a load followed by draining it, flooding the room.

The smell when it came up, though... I think I found where Aqizzar's masturbating sea nymph ended up.

...That may have been due to me dumping half a bottle of ammonia down the draing when I first noticed it.

So, on a scale of fired to promotion, how did your supervisor react?

Somewhere in the middle. She didn't react, she just did something really dumb that made the situation worse. I don't know how my manager reacted, I'm not the one who told her.

I was wrong, it was actually Cthulhu's nymph. To quote the ancients:

It didn't work.  There wasn't room to properly get my head down, there was no way I could create enough suction like that, I couldn't keep the water out once I had sucked it out, and the water smelled like a Sea Nymph had been masturbating in it.

It didn't work.  There wasn't room to properly get my head down, there was no way I could create enough suction like that, I couldn't keep the water out once I had sucked it out, and the water smelled like a Sea Nymph had been masturbating in it.

Huh. I knew that Tetris was Soviet in origin, but I never connected the dots. That actually makes a lot of sense.

I think it's based on a Russian folk song called "Коробушка", Korobeiniki.

Mm... I realize this is both late and unnecessarily pedantic, but "коробушка" is korobushka (little box), while "коробейники" is korobeiniki (street salesmen). Both are adequate names for the song, though the latter is used more often.
