I have no idea how someone could grow to be that old without understanding simple anatomy.
Perhaps he never, y'know, got in a relationship?

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Equally WTF and sad news, my great state of Idaho knows nothing about basic anatomy.
"Fascinating."

Rock on, Vito.

I just now realize that the title of "A Wrinkle In Time" isn't just a title, it referrs to the tesseract (or folding (wrinkling!) of space-time) that lies at the heart of the book's plot. I don't know how I never spotted that before.

Although the term "tesseract" is, however, misused throughout

Apparently fifteen minutes of staring at one of these can bugger your sight for up to three and a half months.

Huh. That it can.

Wonder how long it'll last after only a minute or so.

Youtube is trying to save me, I think. I cannot backspace when commenting without it going back a page.

YES! SAVE ME FROM THE INANE ARGUMENTS THAT I AM SO DRAWN TOWARDS!
Sounds like the focus is screwed up in your browser.

Tsutsimmil, the World Mountain. Oversized elephant with a horned nose, gigantic beehive on its back, and a love of mangoes. Known mythological feats: The entity that throws the earth around the equator (i.e. the cause of the planet's rotation), being goddamn bigger than you. Also bees the larger than a Sudan.

"I've figured it out! They're feeding mangoes into the water!"

"What, mangoes? Ha! Awesome!

Wait. Wait. Fuck. Mangoes. We are so dead." *trumpeting, earth begins shaking*

... that was a neat dream. Kinda' dresden-ish, just... ending with a fuckhuge elephant and an evil plot involving injecting mangoes into a bayou. Don't remember most of the rest of it, but that was a really big pachyderm. Kinda' want to know how unnamed protagonist and similarly unnamed plucky sidekick(s) were going to get out of that one, now.

Very big, yes. Note they're tiny compared to the elephant-thing.

Though it was mostly a misspelling, of course. One which can stay. Either works.

Watching some cross a snow pile in a truck. Kept on trying floor it right over the top, failing, backing up an inch, and trying again. Eventually, he succeeded, nearly snapping his forward suspension in the process. Never once did he think to just back up, and go around.

Equally WTF and sad news, my great state of Idaho knows nothing about basic anatomy.

Rock on, Vito.

Well, if it works, at least they'll know right away that there's a serious problem.
