Look at Africa.

Nobody is saying there's no conflict in Africa. People are reacting to the nonsensical sentiment that black people would be more prone to conflict than others.

...I don't think either of those things have actually been stated. The conversation had also moved on from the map with the enlighted muslims, etc, on it.

Do you think Bohandas holds that sentiment? He expressed that africa is full of conflict that very often stems from oppression and that in more cases it is 'black' skin-toned people inflicting it on other 'black' skin-toned people. He then put forth that it gets more violent there than other places with oppression.
That could put blame with black people or with the degree of oppression. Some people jumped on the first thought like it was the only thing that made fucking sense

Yeah. That sounds about par for the course for africa. I mean, it's usually one group of black people oppressing another group of black people, and it often gets more violent (like in Rawanda), but other than that it's pretty standard.

People jumped on the first thought because Bohandas expresses himself exactly like somebody who thinks like that, and people are able to read through the lines of what that means.

It's the internet.  There are plenty of people claiming actual terrible things (or inane things, like that map earlier).  There's no need to gang up on someone who sounds like he may privately be holding a dissenting opinion.  Liberals (in my experience) are generally inclusive, not... that.

So, Netflix is planning on showing a particular film at the same time it's shown in theaters.
Theater owners refuse to show the film at all, making them no money and Netflix the only way to see that movie anyway.

In all seriousness, though, it's not really fair to just say that Africa has a lot of ethnic and religious conflict and leave it at that. A massive number of those conflicts are a direct result of European colonial policy, namely the partitioning of territory along arbitrary lines.

This is one of the better maps of the sort I've found, mapping out Africa in terms of ethnic groups and then superimposing national borders. See all those straight and straight-ish lines on the borders? Those are what I'm talking about, a remnant of colonial division of territory.

Started playing Tropico 5. The game in general is better streamlined so that you can get shit done better, like just making it mandatory to have resource buildings connected to roads rather than letting your teamsters spend forever lugging shit around the jungles. But I have to ask; what happened to the voice acting? It managed to be... significantly worse? It seems like the writers forgot what tongue-in-cheek actually is.
