A churchmouse is a mouse found in a church. Nothing more and nothing less.

It's also the sort of mice found in churches.

Which is to say it's just a normal mouse.

The church add nothing.

I just like woke up today and found out about the whole dress thing and realized that I missed all of it. And I'm really surprised nobody decided to actualy look up the description of the dress on the original site: Navy blue.

Also, what is a churchmouse? A christian rodent? A type of mouse used in computers at church?
Churchmice are specially bred tame rodents. They originated with medieval monks experimenting with animal husbandry without actually having to raise livestock, but were later discovered to be tasty treats as well. One could simply snatch up a passing churchmouse for a quick, crunchy snack while copying out pages of text by hand, without the effort required to assemble even a relatively humble meal. Over the centuries churchmice moved from the province of time-strapped monks to a broader array of applications. Modern churchmice are often trained to perform simple tricks independently, in order to keep young children and certain adults occupied during services. They are also the secret to church organs: rather than the organist you see, the instrument is actually played by hundreds of churchmice put through carefully timed runs across a hidden keyboard.

That doesn't sound right, but I don't know enough about churchmice to dispute it.

I just correctly answered a question on an engineering quiz because I remember an abbreviation. I remembered it because it's commonly used on 4chan, which got it from World of Warcraft apparently. Goddammit.
top kek?
That was either a very good guess or you've studied encryption protocols.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

No, everything Flying Dice said about churchmice is 100% accurate.

There's a wiktionary page on the phrase "poor as a church mouse" however, and it seems to conflict with FD's anecdote:

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/poor_as_a_church_mouse

Adjective

(as) poor as a church mouse

(simile) Very poor to a point of starving or begging. Expression based the earlier phrase, "hungry as a church mouse", derived from the fact that European church buildings in the 17th century and earlier did not store or provide food, and so a mouse in one was therefore utterly destitute.

I have but I'm pretty sure she was just part of the conspiracy.
