Am I the only person who thinks it looks gold and blue?
(Keeping in mind I may be slightly colorblind, particularly with yellows and browns)

... after some experimenting (by which I mean moving the monitor around) I can confirm that people who think it looks blue have their monitors tilted back significantly.

I don't see where the black is coming from, but if you look at it right the shadows make the white look bluish.

Enlarge the picture, and look only at the top part, then scroll down to the bottom.

The gold part gets darker as it goes farther down, giving the look of black, causing the optical illusion.

The blue/white part was explained by OW, by being an issue with monitors. (And me seeing it as blue due to my issues with seeing color.)

I don't think that's it. Although maybe it could be? Cutting the image up into separate parts and looking at them individually does not restore it to the same colors it once was. My monitor is of course, unchanged from the times I looked at it.

Clearly I'm trapped in some dark juju magicks here..

Playing around with the color picker in Paint, the dark part is gold, and the lighter part is definitely blue.

I have very nearly perfect color vision according to the U.S. army (yes, they test the extent of your color vision at the MEPS), and my monitor is a 40' flatscreen TV, the details are clearly gold, and due to unexplained shadow effects, the dress is white that appears very blue.

I sometimes perceive the sky as black.

Not like after dusk or anything. Clear midday sky.

Same happened to me, but within seconds. My friend was showing me the picture, and then I was like, "hey, wait, go back to it" and he was like, "...this is the exact same picture".
Witchcraft, I say.
