Huh. I read a few paragraphs of 50 Shades of Gray, decided it was garbage, and put it down in disgust.

In other, other news, I discovered that the Good Old Games version of Tropico 3 has DRM in it.

But the first thing they say on their website is drm-free. How disappointing, gog.

You know... I am starting to understand people when they criticize Captain Planet and the Planeteers in that they seem to have these fantastic solar powered inventions and never think to simply release the specs out to the public (Safe, Reliable, plentiful solar energy...)

When it was just the Solar powered Jetplane I was like "Well, maybe that is the only one" but then I saw solar powered motorcycles.

They could at least have a throw away line one episode and say something like "Ohh these solar cells are made from crystals that only grow on Hope Island, after those are gone there would be nothing left"

I really should collect a list of the top ten most hilariously terrible Captain Planet Episodes.

Well unless you remember the episode where the Planeteers go undercover in the ghetto to join a gang to stop gun violence all the while ghosts of Martin Luther King Jr haunt the school... Ohh and Scooby Doo and gang are there too.

Holy crap I am downloading this show tonight. The only episode I remember involved a giant tree chopping mecha, and captain planet petrifying a forest or something to stop it? Or lured it to an already petrified forest or something...

Edit: A quick search verifies that yes, he lured the guy to a petrified forest, but it wasn't a mech, it was a tree sucking flying saucer.
