Kind of disgusting.
AFAIK colleges make money off of football, so having a good coach pays off even if you have to pay him a large salary. It's not so much disgusting as rather standard business practice.

TBH it makes sense because I don't want to get drunk and pay to watch some undergrad student struggle through his philosophy 101 class or something along those lines

It's not the price difference between the Euro and the Dollar on display there. International editions of textbooks (technically illegal to sell outside of India or South Africa or whatever their intended country is due to copyright) cost a tiny fraction of what the regular edition does.

I get that you have some beef with the Euro, but that's not it. I can order whichever I want from where I live.
It's two editions of the same book by the same publisher, one for the Western market, one an 'International edition' for what essentially amounts to India and neighbours.
In other words, you're paying five times as much for the same book printed on a somewhat higher quality paper when you buy it through regular channels.

Jim Harbaugh was just hired by Michigan to coach their football team. He has a 7 year contract for $5M/Year, and got a $2M signing bonus. The U of M football program brings in about $90M/year in profit.

My previous employer was threatened with legal action on at least three separate occasions for mistakenly selling international editions, although this was before 2013.
