So my Dad bought my Sister some Seaweed bite things.

and My sister goes "I like it because it is healthy"

and I got annoyed because as you all know... I can't let anything go. It was clearly just "filler" like salad is.

So I look at the calories of the Seaweed and then I just check the calories of random things around the house. I know the Seaweed is high on calories mostly because of its ingredients which suggests it was baked in 3 kinds of oil and coated in salt.

I check the calories on Vegetable dip: The Seaweed had a LOT more calories.
I check the Peanut Butter: The Seaweed as more calories

So I am like "Ok... maybe I am not being fair... Lets get something that MUST have an insanely high calorie count" So I check the Jewbjewbs which is Candy something made of sugar... I kid you not it had less calories that that Seaweed.

Which I have to say.

How the HECK do you jam that many calories into such a small space?

Fat in general. It's 9 point something kcals per gram vs. 4-something of sugars and around the same (slightly less) for protein.

As for seaweed, I agree that the fat's to blame, but I'm WTFed out by how you could cram that much fat into low-calorie vegetable matter through cooking in oil alone. Though I guess it's the same principle as popcorn - unbuttered popcorn is actually pretty healthy while butter popcorn is a heart attack in an exploded shell.

Some good old fashioned unreliable narrating. The only thing that beats it is telling someone to fix their computer by deleting system32/wiping the hard drive with a magnet/something equally stupid.

Ugh!

So my Sister is basically one of those people who buys into the prototypical "Health food" stupidity.

In that she understands some of the ideas but not the foundation.

So "Salads are healthy" and "Sugar is bad for you" without understanding why but to her that is all you need to know. So instead of sugar being a food your body stores into fat but that can be burned off before that point, it is just EVIL sugar!

So she brings up how "processed foods" are "Fake food" and I basically just dare her to point and a single food in the house that isn't processed. My dad joins in.

She picked the salad (she was POSSIBLY right... but most plants are altered from their natural state) while by dad chose steak (which is processed).

Also now apparently I need a physical copy of 50 shades to PROVE I know what is it in... because every single person who HASN'T READ IT just assumes it isn't as irredeemably bad as I say it is.

I don't get it.

It seems to be a parody of this song. (The middle one is in English, but the lyrics are very different from the original. I can't understand the other two, but I recognized the word "Bel Air" in them.)

If you know exactly what you're doing, you can cut a circuit card to make it fit, but you're better off just buying one that fits. Such jury-rigging is best done after the zombies come and you can't get new parts reliably.

You've got enough spare resources to build a computer, by that stage you're definitely well enough equipped to handle a few corpses.

Does depend what variant of zombies we're talking, though.
