Also, my recent inquiries into the way people walk reveal that most people actually walk with their feet pointed forward, unlike mine, which form a nice nearly-90^o angle 'v'.
This seems to be quite rare, and I think I've only seen three confirmed cases by now of all the people I've surveyed. I wonder if this is purely aesthetic, or if the different walking form give different types of support. Maybe they could also be improper postures, which would make a lot of sense.

Being duck-footed is usually (mind you that I am not a doctor, but I've seen it teaching martial arts,) a muscular issue of some kind. I'd work on hip flexor stretches and strengthening your legs by doing squats and lunges as a start. Oh, and talk to a doctor.

Also: Probably genetic. One of my... uncles? I think. Either that or one of the older male cousins or something. Walked like that. I got the same thing. Think one of my more recent cousins seem to be developing it, as well.

Can be, from what I understand. Something about posture issues, I think, don't remember any specifics. Can also not be, though -- said mentioned relative went their entirely life like that without notable issue attributable to it.

I think the only doctor recommendation I've personally had related to it is to consider specifically designed shoes to make sure it doesn't cause issue. Which I still haven't done because $$$, but *shrugs*

Doing this mandatory survey thing for a college communications class. Appears to be a survey to test just how much we know before we start the class.

Jen and Lisa are tubing down the Guadalupe River. Jen sees a group of good-looking guys floating their way. As they near, Jen and Lisa suck in their stomachs, tense up their muscles, and try not to look at the guys as they are approaching. Their use of courtship readiness cues are examples of which principle of human communication?

Apparently I know nothing of the subtleties of human interaction, communication, or courtship. "courtship readiness cues" involves not looking in the general direction of the people you're hypothetically interested in "courting"? What? What weird-ass softie science is this course going to be.

This is why I don't people. I don't get people.

My incredibly facile knowledge of check-out-lane magazines that I never read (well, and digging through mounds of fanfiction summaries that involve unholy shitloads of slash fiction) leads me to think it's something about enticing an urge to chase... something like that. If you appear disinterested, it supposedly gets people interested in making you interested. There's this subset of individuals that are compelled by people that are off the market, so to speak. "The chase is better than the catch," to quote... some song or another. Apparently? Gods know I neither know nor want to know the details.

Personally, I call that incredibly unhealthy bullshit, but what does frumple know? Not young teenage woman.

E: That said, you're supposedly there to learn what the hell they have to teach. Maybe it's part of a coherent theory that's useful to know. Pay attention and try to learn. Also: Ask the teacher! That's what they're there for. Then maybe follow up and tell us all what the hell the answer is, 'cause now I'm almost curious. Not actually there, yet, but. Getting around to talking myself into it. Which means I'm going to go do something else now, so that will stop.
