I think that's just reading into things too much. Al is more of a Prometheus figure than a diety unless you're like me and make him so.

I think his name is meant to be a wink to that.

There are a lot of themes about "innocence" that are just odd when you know anything about history, biology, or nature.

The ODDEST thing is, for example, Druids who always advocate the law of nature...

But they are always the deluded "Nature is pure without the intervention of man" which is FAR from the reality. Their "One with nature" attribute makes them feel like a perversion of nature rather then truly being one with it. They aren't one with nature they command nature... they dominate nature.

Then there is the "Humans were pure and innocent until the modern age" which honestly hasn't Thomas Hobbes taught us nothing?
