Also, I just learned today that the word tragedy came from the Greek for "Goat Song" because it grew from Greek fertility celebrations where goats were sacrificed.

So I'm sitting here, listening (unapologetically) to my Lonely Island station on Pandora, and then Britney Spear's "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" comes on. Pandora says that it's "playing this track because it features electronica influences, a subtle use of vocal harmony, mild rhythmic syncopation, extensive vamping and a clear focus on recording studio production."

I dissected an eye a week or so ago.

I am glad it did not move, cause it was weird enough as it was. The lens...so hard from being vacuumed. Full of suspensory ligaments when you cracked the lens. Inside of the eye was black, except where the optic nerve emerged, the fovea I think it's called. I held a half-an-eye up, and looked through it just as the pig it had belonged to would have done. And the one group that had an eye with an eyelid still attached.. 

It's funny, I don't really shy away from gore or anything, but the idea of doing something like that just grosses me out entirely.
The actual idea of me being the one doing it. It's the same with needles- I'm fine with having them used on me, but I can't do it myself. The very idea of using a needle on myself/another person freaks me out and makes me squirm.
I should really get over this somehow.

I'm a bit of a fan of needles. Well, apparently a big fan if one considers how many piercings and tattoos I have, but there was this one time (and only one)...

I had a stint put in during a hospital stay that I tore out like 2 or 3 times and my veins have been bad since. I was getting a catscan and the woman kept jabbing me and not getting a vein or anything. Suddenly I felt really nauseous and had to ask her to stop.

It was so weird because needles do not bother me at all.

I'm sort of the same. I have no qualms shit needles bring used on myself. But seeing needles go into others, especially in movies and such, is one of the creepiest things I know.

man I used to have such steady hands for piercing, as well as inking tattoo drawings to be copied for the stencils.

Needles are way less brutal than some things. I mean, they are ultra sharp, and they slide quickly and almost painlessly into the skin.

So she sticks a needle in me... Then sticks it out a bit... then plunges it painfully in again... and again... and again... and again.

Then I fainted

On the plus side because I REQUIRE a bed... it means I go ahead of all the lines.

I can grow facial hair and a beard... But I grow beards exclusively on my neck as I can't get good facial hair going.

Neck beards are not flattering on most people (I've RARELY met anyone who could pull off the neck beard.)
