While I agree bacon is a bit overdone in media hype the last few years, throwing up seems a bit extreme. And don't knock stilton until you've tried it!

Just wait until you have to cook a metric ton of it in the microwave that's constantly blowing it's ventilation fan in your face while you're trying to work and not get nauseous from the OTHER, less nauseating smells at work.
It's the worst meat ever. Worse then seafood, which smells like semen to me.
And the taste, when you buy a sandwich that you didn't realize has bacon on it and bite in, it's just awful. Like someone burnt a whole cow into a thimbleful of ash and then salted the ash and mixed it with greasy lye, then pressed it out into thin strips and called it popular food.

I've cooked a metric tonne of bacon in my time (even the cheap McDonalds crap). Still enjoy the stuff. But fair enough, to each their own etc. Also, it'd be burnt whole pig, not cow. Just saying.

Well, yeah, I know, but cows are bigger and theoretically produce more ash; burning it down into the same size container means the ash should taste worse.

Also, that should perfectly imitate the flavor without necessitating the existence of a pig.

It doesnt matter how strong you are or how many HP you give yourself.  Getting shot is going to kill you.  When you come off that temporary HP or fatigue, you fall down.

Besides, the excuse for the PC being able to do in less than a year what people spend Elven-lifetimes doing (i.e. skill mastery) is that you are fated and awesome.
