:| Its true.  when I was growing up I saw classified video footage that described the levels of funding that NASA got from the Government in exchange for performing 'experiements' in space.  Ants, monkeys, biological germs; even people were tested on the US dollar.

They even put up artificial satellites to spy on us.

You know after seeing media analyzed so many times and watching "male power fantasy" characters.

I am starting to think that men tend to be designed to be appealing to men, even when in the media they are presented in depicts them as being appealing to women, in male oriented media.

Which is interesting because it means that there is a clear disconnect between the fiction being presented and the reality that surrounds it. As well as showing what a male likely sees as desirable behavior from another man.

And I don't mean where the character is meant to represent a sort of "But see, they appreciate it" like in those stories where a very shy but caring individual eventually is respected for it. In those cases it is more a male Romance based Cinderella story where they are rewarded for being a good person in spite having unfavorable qualities like being nerdy or something (Never unattractive mind you, I've seen the flaw being that he is abusive but never that he was ugly. Closest being some retellings of Beauty and the Beast)

Yet is that PURELY so that the watcher can project themselves into this person, or is there some aspect of this persona that is inherently pleasing to men?

So, it sort of occured to me a while ago, but after some more thinking, I've sorta come to realize that there are so many shared menus and mechanics between the different open-world ubisoft games, most of them are essentially spin-offs of each other. the menus look and feel similar, the maps look similar, you're always finding/climbing towers to reveal chunks of map. Menu based crafting. I'm sure there's more stuff too when I sit down to look at it.
