Well, the first two are inconveniences rather than actual barriers (hell, the first time I got sloshed I was fourteen), and you should put the third under very close scrutiny sometime - have you ever tried it?

How come? I'm curious, because the only teetotaler I know of is a huge pothead - casual alcoholism is quite common around here.
And I guess its not your own party then - that amplifies the obnoxiousness, I guess. Best of luck, and I hope they won't do stupid drunk people stuff. It takes ages to clean that up.

You guys ever in the same room as a bunch of drunk people, but been sober yourself, only to have the drunk people have the most obnoxious possible conversation? You know, where they drunkenly slur together jokes they can barely remember, constantly go off on meaningless tangents, and laugh at everything, all while speaking six times louder than they have to?

I'm going through that right now.

YES. Being in the same room as a bunch of really tired people is mostly the same, except you're usually trying to sleep. Which makes it worse. Or a room full of people all hitting on one or two people. Usually I just sort of sit there and sigh loudly until the shenanigans cease.

^Me, except I'm Canadian.

Why on earth would I imbibe enough of a toxin made from rotten fruit/whatever to impair my judgement? I mean, I can see drinking in moderation or enough to feel a buzz at weddings and other similar events. Some alchoholic beverages[Based on a few sips] actually taste nice. But getting fully drunk is something I plan not to do.

Also, I now see that (you are German, yes?) you getting drunk at 14 is perfectly legal.
