Almost had a guy wander off with my jacket today.

We were at a bar, and were starting to leave - so I turned around to get my jacket. It wasn't there anymore; but as they say in this region, "Wat fott es, es fott", so I didn't really get pissed. There wasn't anything I coul do, after all.
A couple of minutes later I see through the window someone walking away with what looks like my scarf around the neck. I go after him; a friend of mine comes along.
The guy is drunk as hell and indeed wearing my jacket and scarf. The scarf he hands over immediately, but instead of giving me my jacket he keeps going on about how it's a problem that he's wearing something that doesn't belonng to him... We eventually coaxed him into giving me the jacket, but it was a looong process. He seemed like a nice enough guy, actually. But still, why'd he take that jacket - I'm at least a foot taller than him, it didn't fit at all!

Quite possibly the best part of being ebook scum (well, beyond having ALL THE BOOKS), is the irony involved in using a pair of encyclopedia of philosophy volumes to prop up my laptop. Just as digital is ascendant over other forms of text, so too is my computer above the ancient mediums of information transference >_>

Like. Physically above. The 'pedias are underneath it.

They also make great mousepads.

And bludgeons.

Books are great.

Having a library (ALL THE LIBRARIES) sitting on top of one is better.

Ah, yes, but physical books are blessed with being the only place to find Old Man Henderson's backstory, while digital books are cursed with being the only place to find the unspeakable role-playing game with a 900-page pdf.
