It says letters, not symbols. Numbers, punctuation, and accent marks aren't letters.

It's a very shallow idea. Those are all letters, sure--but we've ascribed more to what was in those books than just letters; the manners of linguistics and semantics have a very vast depth of meaning and understanding we've attributed feeling and ideas to, that 'its just a combination of 26 letters' is very...superficial to "just" count it off as that.

There was no similar mistake. The image claimed that all books were "just a different combination of 26 letters". Frumple gave examples of things that are in books and are not any of those 26 letters. The image's claim is wrong.

Tir, I don't think you get the idea of looking at things a different way, or in ways that are almost always generally glazed over.

The idea is that "All Most of our information is encoded entirely in 26 letters," and that we can do that IS the shocking bit.

Basically, your entire paragraph's point was to explain *why* someone could be shocked by it.

Being able to come at things from novel directions, such as is displayed here, is a very good skill.
