Someone proposed to me that if Frozen was about two princes it would be a much more original movie...

and I am trying to think of a single movie where the characters were saved through the power of brotherly love and where none of the male characters solved their problems through violence.

There MUST be one.

Guiltishly if they did make a gender swapped Frozen remake... I'd watch it >_>... Then again I already own Frozen...

Actually if they made a version of Frozen without that TERRIBLE "Fixer Upper" song... I'd buy that and throw out my old copy.

Caveat: I haven't actually seen Frozen. Probably won't. I have no idea what the words you said in that quote mean. I mean... I know what the words are. And they're strung together in a vaguely coherent mass. But the context and collective meaning is completely opaque to me.

There were Boulders called trolls that acted as replacement parents for the main boy-oh.

Actually, I could definitely see a situation where guardians from a separate species would get vaguely confused about human mating patterns and try to hook up their dependent prince with the wrong gender (depending on said prince's preference, of course). And if there were divergent psychological patterns as well... it'd be kinda' like an ent not really "getting" hobbit reproductive patterns and trying to get samwise and frodo to produce offspring. It could take, like. A couple centuries for the parent-critter to figure out something was off.
