Johnny Apostrophe was kidnapped and forced into indentured labor making those old school house rock videos us old farts would watch in school.

All the workers eventually escaped in the great grammar breakout in 1985 and tried to go back to their countries of origin but when they got there they were too badly scarred by their experiences to merge back into normal society.  They eventually went back to their old masters around 2009 to scrape out a meager living producing a few new Schoolhouse Rock direct to video skits.

Sad story really.

I... don't remember french grammar being that bad. More sensible than english, anyway. About the least coherent bit was the gendering silliness, but other than that... fairly straightforward, as grammar goes, iirc.

Clearly you haven't encountered the myriad exceptions yet. Also like, three dozen conjugational tenses.

3 dozen? Didn't remember quite that many, but its definitely in that ballpark. And there are exceptions EVERYWHERE, and the worst part is the only way to learn which one is which is by memorization. At least they come with handy little guides[IE: Becherelles], which helps a lot with written French. And most of the different conjugational endings are phonetically identical[Or very close to it].

I just heard one of my roommates refer to a errant NBA player in his EA sports game as a "baka". This is a guy who I know likes Attack on Titan, is a huge fan of DBZ and knows the lore extensively, and likes Boondocks partly for various anime/pop culture japan references in it.

Fascinating. The big beefy black dude who played football in high school, likes all the rap and hip hop, likes working out, and is a big fan of sports and partying may also be a weaboo to some degree. It's an interesting blend of traits. Dude also likes playing Starcraft and Diablo.

Had a wonderfully weird conversation today. One participant described it as "4chan turned into a conversation".
