Except for the fact that the phrase "World War One" was in use at least 15 years before WWII broke out, you would have a point. By 1916, everyone knew that there'd be wars afterward, the course of the war pretty much guaranteed a rematch down the line (to the point where some commentators got the date of the second round down the the month it would break out as early as the 20s,  and WWI wasn't nearly destructive enough (unlike WWII) to provide the scale reduction that the pax atomica did after WWII.

According to my sources the EXACT time period where World War 1 (Not "First World War"...) was exactly when World War 2 occurred... well at least the same year (1939)... cause that is all the research I am doing.

I've seen it in history books printed in the 20s (Map in the front of the book showed the German Republic) and 30s (Map in the front of the book showed the Greater German Reich sans Austria). I don't have them anymore, but it was there.

Looking it up, it has French origins, just like most official misspellings.

Well, you are supposed to yes. It has a French origin though, so pronouncing the t doesn't actually make sense.

Given that one of the major themes is that the old ones have no set way to pronounce their names... often having many names, dialects, alternate personalities, alternate identities, and all that...

That means only evil.

All I know is that "New Jersey" is apparantly pronounced "N'Joisay", somehow in a single syllable.
According to the only N'Joisayian I ever met (which happened to be the single worst cab driver I've ever seen).
I wish I were exagerating. ._.
