I had a funny/weird WTF moment today.

I was taking a test in Calc class, and I was stuck staring at this one problem. Suddenly, it clicked in my head, how to solve it. As it did, the section of fluorescent lighting directly above my head suddenly became brighter.

I think my knowledge of math is warping reality now. Either that, or I'm in a video game.

A case can be made for the latter. A few weeks ago, I was in study hall, when a random NPC (read: freshman) said "Hi, [tahujdt]!" I asked her how she knew my name, and she thought for a moment, and admitted that she didn't know how. And last year, there was this guy in several of my classes who had no distinguishing characteristics. As in, not just that I wasn't paying attention, that he actually didn't have any distinguishing traits. Ever since I noticed that, the universe has been trying to make up for it and make his character really interesting and distinguishable(like him being a half-black conservative, an Episcopelian but going to a Catholic school, and an organizer for the Young Republicans.)

Plus, any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. It's magic.

It's a silly joke. The thing about British shows is that they like making jokes, even if it doesn't make any sense, because it's funny.

Doctor Who is more of a fairy tale than actual sci-fi.
And I'm not saying that's a bad thing.

That's actually an old cheat, science-flavored magic is around as old as pulp stories, if not more. It IS magic, it's the Fiction part of Science Fiction, not the Science part - the writer may handwave it as FURTUR TECHS but it's still magic unless it's actually based in modern day science.

Mind you, it's not inherently wrong, but it's still, as far as devices go, magic cosplaying as science.

I think I fucked up.

So, this monday I wasn't feeling too well, and decided to just GTFO from school. On the way to my car, some girl shouted out of a window that I was a pretty boy(or handsome or however you would translate that, the more exact phrase being uttered was "Pretty nature and a pretty boy!" followed by a "You're pretty!"). Which would naturally be fucking amazing. Only problem was, I have a slow reaction time at the best of times, and I was really feeling like shit. So by the time I looked at who did it, she was already gone. Which is retarded, cause she seemingly straight up fucking addressed me.

I know who it might have been. I told a girl that she was pretty at a party a few weeks ago, so she might have been returning the favour in a manner of speaking. But it might have also been someone else. [EDIT: Pretty sure it was someone else] And I'm fairly certain that someone might be offended that I didn't pay attention when they shouted out of a goddamn window.

I have absolutely no idea what the hell I am doing or should do.

They probably won't be offended. If anything, they'll be a little put out and too polite to say anything. Just ask around until you figure out who it was, then say something along the lines of "thanks!"
