I believe that micro-evolution exists
"i believe that advances in technology exist, but i don't believe that cell phones came from computers"
Cellphones came from phones, which originally were not computers at all, though they became more viable when they were integrated with computers. Computers are as related to cellphones as humans are to apes. They
may have had a common ancestor, and share a wide range of components, but they didn't start out the same.
Technology also isn't biology; technology advances through research and knowledge, with some blind luck, not purely on random chance and survival-of-the-fittest.
Take a platter of bacteria and watch them. They do mutate. MUTATION exists, and within small communities, this mutation can cause some genes to be more common then others (such as one bacteria resistant to UV rays becoming more common then the others); viola, micro-evolution.
Evolution is not mutually exclusive with creation. Micro-Evolution is proven. It's MACRO-evolution on a worldwide scale that can't be proven, which is mutually exclusive to creation. The great argument is Creation vs MACRO-Evolution. On which I take the Creation side, on which you can blame my upbringing.
I believe that micro-evolution exists
Okay I can sympathise with greatorder now. This particular statement grinds my gears even though there's no reason why it should more than anything else.
I choose to believe what I believe, and am willing to research and back up my statements. My extended family still doesn't believe that Micro-evloution can possibly be a thing. I have researched and witnessed it in action.
I acknowledge that I may be wrong, though. But until we can prove that the Theory is more than a Theory on the macro scale, I choose to believe that it's not pure luck but pure love that I am typing this.
Can we please talk about the other two teachers? I seriously don't want to derail this any further.
