Apparently remembering the charge of an electron off the top of my head is enough to weird out my class. Basic physical constants are useful things to have memorised, guys!

isn't the charge of an electron just -1
or has the chemistry teacher been lying to me for the sake of simplification

First time I read that, my brain processed it as "remembering the charge of an electron which is physically on top of my head". Which would weird me out too.

That's the elementary charge, aka how many protons of charge there is. In SI, it's more around 10-19 Coulomb, ballpark approximation.

1,6*10-19, to be precise.

Also, apparently a sandwich can go moldy in a couple of days. Huh.

If you're going to give me a mid-80's grade on a major paper that had no grading rubric, and then give zero criticism on the paper itself, I'm not going to be a happy camper.

I assume it's not a hard science where they tick off your working and return the script?

And the mass of an electron is Terrorist Halloween (9.11*10^-31), thank you for that bit of knowledge, Bay12.

1.602*10^-19 to be slightly more precise. google it if you need even more precise :P

And it's the elementary charge, much more than just charge on an electron. and much more important.

Fart metal.

It's a huge WTF. Not because somebody actually went trough the effort of making this but because it isn't half bad.

Like, what the fuck world, how is this something that works?!?!

Decided to get back into DF again since it has been like half a year since I last played. (I usually do this with DF, play like a maniac until I burn myself out and then don't touch it for months.)

But now it crashes when I try to start a new fortress. I swear baby, this has never happened to me before.

Must be because I am trying to use all  them fancy addons like DFHack and therapist... back in my days I never used em, and it worked fine.

EDIT: Yup, seems like it's therapist causing the crash. Weird.

EDITEDIT: Wait a second... what is this now, gah so many changes!

School computer somehow acquired one of those annoying viruses that changes your homepage to a thing that redirects to Yahoo Search and logs your searches. I took screenshots and whatnot, did some research, and submitted it to the IT guy. I will, of course, be counting the last half-an-hour as community service time.

In other news, I was singing the coconut song in the cafeteria, and the senior sitting next to me decided to join in.

Me: "Oi've got a luvverly bunch of coconuts..."
Senior: "Diddly diddly diddly..."
Me: "Thar they are awl standin' in a row..."
Senior: "Bum bum bum..."
Me: "Big ones, small ones, some as big..."
etc.

Ye gods and little fishes. Did someone actually post asking for advice on milking his girlfriend?
If I remember correctly, it was Pathos. Which means we all tried to milk our girlfriend.

Humans can become used to anything. This is both amazing and horrifying and a little disgusting.
