Also, today is apparently the day the Grade Twelves are allowed to vandalise the school. this will be interesting.

Isn't that supposed to be 100 days before the school ends?
I think we have that too, but it's far less prevelant. It really just resulted in a bunch of stacked benches and funny pictures of teachers all over the school last year

Meh. I think that's partly because there are a lot of Libertarians among the IT sector here in NC, and partly because we have a race between two candidates who would lose in a landslide to "None of the Above". I think I might have even voted for Haugh in the past, name is familiar. I know I voted Libertarian in the governor's race the last two times, because the NC Dems have produced a wonderfully shitty slate of candidates the last few races.

But I'll be holding my nose and voting Hagen this time. Hopefully Haugh can play spoiler and keep Tillis from doing any more damage to this state.

Pffft. I feel like there's a really great joke here, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Of the people who bought Telltale's The Walking Dead game, only 80% have actually played it (at least, past the first chapter of the first episode). This is actually quite above average for a Steam game. But with each chapter about 1% of people stopped playing, with slightly more between episodes. So by the end of episode 5, half of the people who played at all had stopped.

Why would you stop playing an adventure game halfway through? Especially when it's one you can't really lose (at least, not without it being incredibly easy to avoid).

... more seriously, lot of folks seem to stop playing part way through any particular game. The latest shiny shows up and they go play that, instead. Then the cycle repeats.

Probably because they realized that your choices don't particularly matter. The only choice that seems like it will matter at all is at the end of Season 2.

Ehh, I stopped playing that game because it was fucking awful.

I mean, the game was brilliant, and the story is amazing, but it just wasn't fun to play. It was just plain horrible :<

The best thing about an adventure game is when you've been hung up on one single part for ages, then you finally figure it out and get that feeling you get when you complete an arduous row in Tetris.

I have to admit, I've never felt quite that sort of feeling when I say screw it and go open gamefaqs 'cause this crap ain't worth the time. But to each their own, yeah.

I do that too, although my most intensive usage of it recently is when either:

a) Some boss in Chrono Trigger kicks my ass over and over and I need a strategy
b) Need to know what button to press in the DOS version of Dragon's Lair

I feel like my college isn't completely aware of its own naming scheme for some of the wings. For example, SW, also called South Wing.

My schedule tells me to go to South SW. South South Wing.
One of the navigation signs I saw referred to it as SW Wing. South Wing Wing.
Another one called it South SW Wing. South South Wing Wing.

Somehow I didn't notice this in the past while I've been going to the school. And now I have two more words for my list of words that don't look like words to me any more.
