...I'm actually making progress on the homebrew tabletop system I've been working on for the past 3-4 years. All it took was taking it from being a universal system to a system for a specific thing. Namely, Bionicle. Already got offensive and defensive elemental powers in a somewhat workable state. First release is gonna have movement-related elemental powers fairly abstract, and the only PC races will be Turaga, Toa, and Matoran, but still. I'm gonna have something to put out there in the near future. This is so freakin' weird.

Just watched the film A Serious Man. Still not sure what it was about.
It was kinda enjoyable but I have no idea what I'm supposed to take away from it. Is the lack of point the point? Not sure.

So my friend runs a small home business (float tank). I arrived 1 day & the furniture had been re-arranged to cut the office space in halve. Apparently someone had complained to the council about too many cars being parked out front. She has 1 or 2 customers at her business at a time (for a max. 4 cars parked, for instance 1 customer there, 1 arriving). Looking at her street last time I visited there is enough free parking space left to park around 20 buses/trucks. WTF. Anyway, the council investigated & her office space was twice the size allowed for a residentual premise, so solution - move furniture till office is twice as cramped. Gotta love bureaucracy.

Some sewage thing broke down in the basement. Smells horrific. It's been fixed, but the smell won't be going away any time soon.

E: Sister started screaming at her parents to make the smell go away, then burst into tears crying and ran out the front door. Actually, she bounced first. Forgot to open it before leaving.

I don't even know what that was about.

Smell is going away. Slowly.

My step-mother sprayed air freshener down here, so it smells like chemically scented shit instead of just regular shit.

The cats don't seem to mind.
