Back to work today. And there was nothing to do. Again. At least I had a long weekend.

I hate going in when there is little to do. Nobody needed help, and even the garbage bins were mostly empty. Getting to go in on days where there is little work tends to bite me in the ass. It doesn't help that my manager is my ride home, so I can't just leave.

It wasn't until near the end of the day when I finally had something to do. Though it was a job order not due out for another month.

The tattoos were already cut, as there were a ton of leftovers from the last time this client ordered from us. The tattoos had to be put into labelled bags. Not uncommon, but more time consuming. Except we had no labels. I went to ask someone in customer service if there were any labels, and she got mad at me. Apparently everyone goes to her when they need labels, and she's annoyed that the manager won't teach anyone how to make them.

So I went to my manager to get her to make labels. She took the job slips from me and said she would make them soon. Then she forgot about them. When she remembered, she came up to me and asked me for the job slips again. Turns out she lost the slips somewhere. Then when she found them, she came up to me and handed me a photocopy of the labels. Not actual sticker-labels, which is what they were supposed to be, but just a standard, photocopied sheet of paper. So I gave it back to her and told her the mistake. She then made a single sheet of labels, even though the job required eight sheets in order to label all of the bags.

She finally taught me how to make the stickers after this. I then went to start working on bagging the job, when she came running out of the office to tell me to stop working on the job. It turns out a temp-worker was coming in later and there was nothing for them to do, so I had to stop so that the temp would be able to work on the job instead. I went back to trying to find something to do for a bit, when she came out of the office again to give me crap for not working on the job, because she had cancelled the temp some time after getting me to stop working and didn't bother to tell me.
