Are you sure you're not mixing words up? All those works of fiction include the archaeologist being in combat of some sort or another (don't know about Marvel or DC, but I would assume).

Uhm, "non-combatant" profession doesn't mean they never fight, and if they start fighting they don't suddenly transform the whole profession into combatants.

He means that if you go into the job, you should be reasonable expectant to not need to fight. Nurse, probably. Soldier, no you're probably going into combat. Archaeologist, reasonable to expect no combat.

It is a secret shared by many types of jerky, actually. Not just beef. Turkey, bacon, chicken, so on, so forth. Jerked meat is amazing. If it weren't so damned expensive I would eat it all the time

I wish I could eat jerky. I love the taste, but can't actually chew it due to not being able to chew properly in general.

I think he means the websites run by the actual government, not the ones run by the politicians in the government, I.E. things like the Social Security website, etc.
