From the sound of it, he was trying to open the can with running water and a towel.

Today for lunch I was making myself a small bowl of spaghetti.  I get out some parmesan and a can of tomato sauce.  Then I go to the sink and hold the can of tomato sauce under running water.  Frustrated that nothing was happening I then reached for one of the nearby dish towels and start wiping the top of the can down.

Not being experienced in kitchen disasters, what exactly went wrong? I can think of about five things which could have happened but I can't tell very well. Was the bottom of the can open, so the sauce all spilled out? Was the water hot and you burned yourself? Was the towel ruined by contact with the sauce? Did you cut yourself on a sharp can edge?

I think it was more of a "this made no sense" type thing. Like putting chocolate milk in the pantry, or when I put the ice tray in the microwave.

On the subject of weird effects while driving, I have an uncanny ability to hit green lights when I'm driving. It's like I'm a green light magnet, and it's prompted comments from my parents, friends, and even a driving instructor when I was still learning.

BEWARE, I LIVE!

a.k.a. I'm back from the dead a.k.a my hdd apparently gave up on my last sunday morning and today I got my replacement and everything is working for now. Or at least working faster and more risk-free. My old pc I used as a backup can only do this much, bless dear girl.

My first WTF of today would be installing windows. I've decided to modernize a bit so I've ordered one SSD to be my boot drive.

I mean, I knew OS install quick these days, but this was over in, what, less than 30 minutes? 20?

Second WTF however was the amount of patches Windows decided to install.

For third WTF I have a science homework for all of you to do.

1. Grab some sort of small plastic container, cottage cheese one if you had cottage cheese in those. Or just something similar. Or bigger.
2. Go and fill the said container full of these litttle fucker. Or not full. Just harvest many of them.
3. Close air-tight the container and leave it like that for, say, day. Maybe two.
4.
5. PROFIT! Open the container. Smell.

I accidentally cut a chunk of my finger off at work today cleaning a slicer, and have been kind of weirded out by the idea that I'm going to have to live with that missing for the rest of life. Also means no WASD until it recovers, but hey, new DF release don't need no WASD.
