"Insouciant" is being casual or unconcerned.

Right. The latter for wry is close in concept to unconcerned, especially since I've tended to see insouciant used when the individual in question is using the casualness/lack of concern to irritate people.

E: Or, to put it a different way, they both (can) imply a certain degree of irreverence. Hence, fairly close to each other.
