I've always wondered why we don't look at launching nuclear (or other kinds) waste into the sun. Granted, part of it is that whole "putting radioactive waste on a rocket that we shoot high into the atmosphere and if something goes wrong...."

But if there were a way to safely get into space, it seems like a no-brainer.

Do we really even need it to be in the sun? Just somewhere orbiting around the sun it's probably not going to do any harm either. Space is big yo.
