Not really sure what we'd need a general thread for, though. Not sure what a general thread is, really. We've got emotion threads, and anything more specific can get its own thread. Emotion threads themselves are close enough to random spam we don't need something even less focused, I'd say...

A sort of WTF I had today was that I realized I haven't seen that LeoLeonardo guy in a while, the dude with a cat in a tube.

Also my hours got cut by 1 hour every day, so I technically only work 16 hours instead of 20 every week.  This is in effect until the school year starts again.  Eh, less money but more FREEEEEDOOOOM.

No, they think that anything the government should do results in the maximum amount of individual freedom for any one person possible; everyone has the most amount of control over themselves as possible. Similarly the Libertarian-right do not go around demanding that everyone starving should have the right to eat cake or whatever, they rely on the assumption that people are good willed and that charity will persist. It's unfair to say that the desired effect is for mass starvation any more than communists desired mass starvation [Stalin aside]. There are also Libertarians more to the left who support welfare systems of various sizes and so on. The core tenet of Libertarianism is liberty. The tea party are a poor representation, nobody knows what they're doing.
