Weird work day.

Not much came off of the press for me. The operators spent all day doing I don't know what, so I didn't have much to do.

Neither did a co-worker, who came by to help me. She started telling me how I should be handling some tattoos I was working on. Fun.

She didn't realize how many variants there were, and couldn't tell the difference between the french and english ones. They were all mixed up between the six variants, and she thought there were only two types. The boxes had to be re-sorted.

I could understand mistaking similar tattoos for each other, as when you spend the better part of the day staring at the exact same few images, they begin to lose coherency, but the variants weren't very similar at all.

When I got up this morning, I went to go get a drink of water. I top up a half-filled glass of water left lying around and get ready to drink it. Halfway to my mouth, I noticed the dead spider in it. Much shrieking and throwing of glasses ensued. Why are spiders drowning themselves at me? Is it some sort of passive-aggressive way of showing hatred?

I have to ask this.

Is it bad to do a post, post it, and then ALWAYS to edit it to fix it up?

I've noticed that I do that a lot.

If it helps get your point across with more ease, I see no problem with it.

It's not bad practice, per say, but it's a good habit to say what you mean the first time.

Hindsight is 20/20, as they say.  I've done a couple of posts where I sit down and read it after I've posted it, and then realize it needs some sort of addendum or clarification.  It doesn't happen always, but it does happen (there's also been a bunch of posts I've had where I've been a second away from hitting post and then just nuking the whole thing).

Ok, I know this is a second one today... but this one has been bugging me for a while.

I've noticed that if tell someone of something really bad that has happened to you.

They will apologize such as "I am sorry".

I always found this practice weird, they didn't contribute to the issue, they often just asked how I was, nor were they being insensitive to me. It feels like such a weird apology to make.

They are sorry that it happened. As in they wish it didn't. Just a alternate use of the word.

Being "Sorry" though doesn't make sense. Apologizing usually implies fault either through callousness, accidental, or outright.

They're sorry for being the bearer of bad news. For telling you about it.
